A Coventry brand owner and private label specialist in the nutraceutical sector is poised to reap the benefits of major accreditation while continuing to thrive as an export business.
Premier Health Products has obtained the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) Good Manufacturing Practice Standard.
It will be subject to regular audits by the MHRA and will see the company continue to grow in the medical sector – with the company traditionally being a packaging partner for dietary supplements.
The company recently won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade for the second time.
Premier Health Products already exports to 30 countries and expects this to grow as it sees the benefits of MHRA accreditation.
Premier Health Products has worked with accounting firm Burgis & Bullock for the past decade – with support including leading the business through the pandemic and through this period of growth.
It now employs 30 staff at its Tile Hill headquarters, having invested £3million in the new 31,000sqft facility and fit-out in September 2020.
Additional investments are underway to overhaul packaging lines, modernize machinery and continue development across the site.
Adam Petros, Chief Commercial Officer of Premier Health Products, said, “Achieving this accreditation is huge news for us and will primarily help the export side of our business. It is internationally recognized and the UK is considered the pinnacle of standards in this industry.
“We have major projects on the horizon and they have been won thanks to the new accreditation from the MHRA. It changes the way we work, the layout of our premises and the standards to which we work.
“Burgis & Bullock have supported us since our inception as a limited company and have played a key role in supporting our growth – from tax advice to commercial contracts and negotiations. The firm has given us excellent advice throughout the pandemic, has guided us and taken steps to enable our current growth.
“The company has been able to make significant investments over the past two years, thanks to grants and the financial success of the company.
“We had a strong close in 2021 and we have maintained that this year. The continued investment associated with this new accreditation is part of our broader five-year growth plan. »
Trevor Day, Client Services Manager at Burgis & Bullock, added: “We have worked with Adam and Simon at Premier Health Products for over 10 years – and during that time the business has gone from strength to strength.
“The company has the foundations in place to continue its impressive growth and earning this key industry accreditation will give it further momentum. We look forward to continuing to partner with the company as it continues to evolve.
